Space Sheriff Shaider

 

This is the another Japanese heroes series that is close to my heart, Uchuu Keiji Shaider. I really like the lead actor, the late Hiroshi Tsuburaya (cause of death was liver cancer). I think he is really handsome. I got the plot from Wikipedia:

While Dai Sawamura was still in college, studying archaelogy he
deciphers the figures on the Nazca Plain in Peru. Then, the Galactic Union Police recruited him to be the Earth's Space Sheriff. He is given the code name Shaider, in memory of an ancient warrior who defeated the Emperor Kubilai and brought down Fuuma 12,000 years ago, when Fuuma returns Dai was sent to protect the earth, and batte Fuuma, together with his partner Annie.

I also like the story plot because of the chemistry between Dai and Annie (who was from another planet, her planet was destroyed by Fuuma), whose name is Naomi Morinaga in real life. They really look good together. This series is also popular in my country, and a local version was made, which I honestly didn't like. There is a new Generation Shaider series now, but of course for me, nothing beats the original.
